Fillers. Diatomite mineral fillers are used primarily (/) where bulk is needed with minimum weight increase, (2) as an extender where economy of more expensive ingredients is a factor, or (3) where the stmcture of the particle is important. In other appHcations, diatomite can add strength, toughness, and resistance to abrasion, or it can act as a mild abrasive and polishing agent (see Abrasives). 

Cross-linking function This adds strength to the resin, so that the higher the CL, the stronger the resin. Capacity drops proportionally as the IX sites are on the VB and are reduced with increased cross-linking.

The main consumer of nickel is austenitic stainless sleel, which contains from 3,5 to 22% nickel and 16 to 26% chromium. Synthetic fibres made from proteins are Aralac from milk protein casein, Vicara from corn protein zein, and Saralon from peanut protein. These fibres look like wool and can also be dyed just like wool or silk is dyed. These fibres are blended with wool to add strength.
