The first three objectives relate to pharmaceutical products, and the fourth to pharmaceutical usage although, in most countries, promoting rational use of dmgs is not part of regulatory activities. In order to achieve the four objectives, the various pharmaceutical activities— manufacturing, importation, exportation, distribution... 

Also in an industry where weight and space are at a premium ceramic substrates occupy a larger volume than would a unit of comparable catalytic activity manufactured using Fecralloy as the substrate. In the relatively short time that the alloy has been available for large scale evaluation it has already gained acceptance by many potential users in the automobile industry and, as a result, specialty steelmakers both in the U.S.A. and Britain are now able to offer tonnage quantities in various fabricated forms. 

Today foxglove is still the source of digitoxin, a widely used drug that increases the force of the heart s contraction. To produce it chemists separate and purify one compound from the plant s roughly thirty cardiac glycosides, each of which has different activity. Manufacturers of herbal supplements do not note such distinctions they merely try to justify their products by pointing out that many of our prescription pharmaceuticals derive from plant sources. 

The Seveso Directive covered all European Union Member States, and held them responsible for ensuring that the relevant national institutions do what is required for adequate risk management. The entire Directive was also driven by a concern for prevention, including those parts that relate to post-accident activities. For example, terms such as industrial activity, manufacturer, major accident, and dangerous substances were defined, the types of production, operations, and storage activities that are subject to regulation were described, and the dangers that are anticipated were noted. 

It must exhibit a better cost/performance ratio than existing actives manufacturers are indeed facing severe cost constraints. 

Concurrent with this growth in exports from the U.S., another development was taking place, often uncoordinated with export activity manufacturing facilities outside the U.S. began to proliferate as companies attempted to exploit opportunities to participate in a growing market with a product or products based on technical or production strengths or specific tariff protections. These subsidiaries soon began to succumb to the lure of world markets to sell excess production to countries outside the ones in which they were established. 

The LP approach to modeling a system under study is to decompose the system into its elementary functions, or activities. In Example 1 there were three activities—manufacture of one unit of product 1, manufacture of one unit of product 2, and manufacture of one unit of product 3. The decision variables merely define the levels at which these activities are to be carried out. Of course, the aim of the LP model is to determine the optimal activity levels. To change the activity level, the input and output flows into each activity have to be changed. These flows are called items. In Example 1 the input flows were labor, material, and administration, and the output was profit in dollars. 

Aircraft pilots face the potential of exposure to laser beams from the ground by people engaged in criminal activity. Manufacturers may achieve ways to provide laser radiation protection in windshields or through other means. 

The global market for antimicrobials in plastics was 25,000 tonnes in 2001, and it has been valued more recently (in 2003) at US 122 M, at the active manufacture level. This represents a 40% growth over the previous ten years. North America accounts for approximately 40% of consumption, and its global share is declining, according to Biocides Information Services BRG Townsend puts the US share at one-third of the market by value. 

Flame retardant companies have featured strongly in recent merger and acquisition activity. Manufacturers of halogenated FRs have been diversifying by buying smaller companies that produce other types of flame retardant, mainly phosphorus types and metal hydroxides. Great Lakes acquired the process additives division of FMC, which inclnded phosphorus FRs, and seemed some business components for use in its own water treatment business at the same time. The French part of Ferro was bought by Albemarle, which now makes PyroChek FRs. Albemarle pmchased Martinswerk, makers of ATH. 

Spacecraft and space travel sectors have several companies actively manufacturing rocket ships, spacecraft, and navigational systems. The British company Viigin Galactic and the American company Space Adventures operate spacecraft, and private citizens can book flights, although it is extremely expensive. 

Primary alcohol ethoxylates are an important class of detergent feedstock for anionic active manufacture. They are made by the addition of ethylene oxide to a primary alcohol in the presence of an alkaline catalyst. The addition of the second ethylene oxide molecule to the alcohol is kinetically favoured in comparison with the addition of the first ethylene oxide, hence the product of ethoxylation contains a distribution of ethylene oxide chain lengths attached to the alcohol along with the starting alcohol itself. Consequently the physical, detergency and biodegradation characteristics are affected not only by the carbon chain length distribution as is the case for primary alcohols, but also by the ethylene oxide distribution which in turn can be supplier dependent.

Both FMl/250 and FMl/700 samples show similar relative concentrations of C-C carbon, regardless of differences during their activation manufacturing process. Slight difference in relative concentrations of ether and carbonyl groups in both non-treated ACC samples are probably due to the above activation differences.
