The method of processing of compositions HDPE+Z samples in paper [3] was expounded. The initial HDPE and its compositions with contents Z within the interval 0,0H1,0 mass.% were used. The figures in conditional designation of compositions HDPE+Z mean content of Z in mass%. [Pg.68]

The thermostability of compositions HDPE+Z samples have been researched on derivatograph of model DuPont-951 (USA) in dynamic regime in air and in inert gas (helium) atmosphere. The heating rate is equal to 5 K/min within temperatures interval 293-750 K. The samples weighing are varied in limits 4,295-4,857 mg. The melting temperatures Tm for considered compositions are accepted according to the data of paper [7],... [Pg.74]

Making this substitution into Equation (3.6) or (3.7) reduces the generic normal distribution to one with mean 0 and standard deviation 1, collapsing all possible normal distributions onto a standard curve. Tabulated values of the cumulative distribution function F are usually presented in terms of the transformation variable z. Sample values of F(z) are presented in Table 3.2. Microsoft Excel contains an intrinsic function, NORMSDIST, that produces the cumulative probability for a standard normal variable z given as its argument. A companion function, NORMSINV, outputs the z value for a given F(z). The Microsoft Excel manual or the electronic help files [5, 6] provide command syntax and usage examples. [Pg.207]

Fig. 2 shows the XANES spectra of TS(x,y) and Ti02/Si02(z) samples. For comparison, the spectrum of Ti02 (anatase) is also shown. The Ti02 exhibited multiple peaks in the pre-edge region (4960-4980 eV), indicating the presence of titanium in octahedral coordination (Fig. 2a). On the other hand, all of TS(x,y) and Ti02/Si02(z) samples showed an intense pre-edge peak at 4967.1 eV (Fig.2b-g) as the characteristic of tetrahedrally coordinated titanium [19]. The experimental station contains manipulators to positions the sample, optics to view the sample, and detectors to measure the fluorescent, scattered or diffracted X-rays. The details of these apparatus depend entirely on the type of experiment to be performed. For example, an XRF microprobe requires a precision X-Y-Z sample stage, high quality microscope and multi-element fluorescence detector. A surface scattering experiment, on the other hand requires a 4-circle goniometer and a low-noise photon counting detector. [Pg.140]

Fig. Z Sample identification/screening application of spectroscopic discriminant analysis. The spectrum of the sample is compared to multiple models of different materials or different levels of quality of the same material. The models can predict the likelihood that the sample matches the training spectra they were constructed from, again giving a yes or no answer.
