Workspace toolbar

Some of the toolbuttons on Excel s toolbars are not very useful for scientists. You can remove the toolbuttons you don t use, giving a less cluttered workspace and providing room for other, more useful toolbuttons. 

These elements are not all found on every window, as programmers can choose to eliminate or modify them. Still, in most cases these will be constant, with the rest of the window filled in with menus, toolbars, a workspace or other application-specific elements. For instance, Microsoft Word, the program with which this book was written, adds an additional control box and minimize and maximize buttons for each document. It also has a menu bar, a number of optional toolbars, scroll bars at the right and bottom of the window, and a status bar at the very bottom. Application windows can become very cluttered. 

When the calculation is finally done you can view your new, improved structure on the workspace window. This may look less like the familiar double helix structure than your initial DNA molecule, but it is actually the more stable structure in a no-solvent environment. Under Display on the toolbar, select Output. Record the final energy of the last cycle. 

The toolbar configurations are stored with the workspace settings in a file with the extension. ows. Details of how to configure the toolbars can be found in Section 8.1. As mentioned above, for the purpose of our interactive course we recommend that you choose the workspace DEMO.ows.

Mathcad has a variety of toolbars such as standard, math, calculator, graph, and matrix. These toolbars can be docked on the top ribbon or floating in the workspace. The user is free to customize his or her own view. To see a list of toolbars, choose View > Toolbars. 

From the View menn, select Toolbars and make snre the Sync toolbar is selected and visible. Click the MIDI button and press Play. A message will appear in the lower left comer of the workspace reading, Press ESCAPE to cancel... Waiting for MIDI Sync. ...
