Worked example using the Method of Referred Derivatives liquid flow network

8 Worked example using the Method of Referred Derivatives liquid flow network [Pg.230]

The network is assumed to form part of a larger model, to which it is interfaced through accumulators at nodes 3 and S. The pressures, p , are assumed to depend on conditions both within the network and external to it, obeying the differential equations  [Pg.230]

The main model pressures, p, pf , and the external pressure setpoints, pi pe., undergo step changes at time 0, as summarized in Table 18.2. [Pg.230]

TaMa 18.2 Step changes in main model pressures and external pressure setpoints [Pg.230]

Simulate the transient behaviour of the system for 100 seconds and determine the intermediate pressures, P2, P4, and the network flows, W 2, W23, W24. W45 and W4 at each time instant. [Pg.230]
