Wills executors

The law contains a compHcated provision, which case law has further elaborated, concerning ownership of renewal rights. Generally, renewal rights do not vest until the last year of the initial term. At that time they vest in the author. If the author is dead, the rights vest in the author s surviving spouse and children as a class in the author s executor, ie, the beneficiaries under the author s will, if there is no surviving spouse or children or in the author s next of kin under appHcable state law if the author did not leave a will. [Pg.265]

I have no doubt, I say, and indeed I have none. Richard of Gloucester has ever been thus, and thus he commands the allegiance of men as much as does his royal blood and the confidence of his brother whom I have learned to call the late King Edward. Have I not made Richard the chief executor of my will, though he be my captor and my enemy even to death ... [Pg.52]

The Problem A woman s estate totals 5 million. She leaves of her estate to her butler, Mo to her chauffer, Xo to her daughter, X to her son, and %o is to be put in a trust to take care of her dog, Puddles. But all these bequests aren t to be made until after the executor of her will gets 10 percent of the original amount. The others get their share of the net amount. How much does each person get ... [Pg.93]

In this hierarchical scheme, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is a head ganglion for deliberate decision making, an arbiter and executor of conscious processing, and a director of what we call our will. No doubt oversimplified and minimizing for heuristic purposes what must be constant and massively parallel interactions with other parts of the system, this model is particularly attractive in the context of our conscious state paradigm. [Pg.126]

Name an Executor. This is the individual or firm that executes your will after your death. Your executor can be ... [Pg.247]

Congratulations You are now ready to make an appointment with the lawyer of your choice. Your meeting should be viewed as positive and educational. Once your will has been completed, keep it in a safe place where your executor, spouse, or closest beneficiary can get to it easily and quickly. Your safe-deposit box may or may not be appropriate. Check with your attorney on this. Copies may be desirable for your spouse or others directly involved. [Pg.249]

People to be notified of death Certain people and institutions need to be notified of your death, including your attorney, executor, trustee, and tax specialist, to name a few. Also, your Social Security office needs to know. Special friends will want to know as soon as possible. Providing names, titles, addresses, and telephone numbers will make it easier for the individual who assumes this responsibility. Take time in preparing this list. You will probably include your inner-circle support group of relatives and close friends. These individuals can provide emotional support if needed. [Pg.255]

Having to make my Will afresh in consequence of the decease of my dear Annie, I am in want of Executors. I have outlived most of my friends and those who survive are too old for such an Office. I turn therefore to my younger friends and especially those who are Occultists like myself. Will you be so kind as to allow me to nominate you as one of my Executors What I have is all in Railway Stock and will not be troublesome to do. If you are good enough to consent, I will ask Fra Levavi [Oculos, i.e., Percy Bullock] to be the other one. We, Occultists, should help one another, and I hope I may rely on you for helping me in this way. [Pg.45]

I have ventured to make a slight alteration, as my acting Executor would know nothing about MSS, and might mislay the Memorandum or forget it, which would make it much safer. I will ask my Solicitor to place my instructions to him about it with my Will. Perkins is not only my Solicitor but a personal friend, and will, I know, carry out my instructions to the letter. [Pg.53]

To break the deadlock, the executors renewed their efforts to negotiate some kind of agreement with the Swedish Nobel relatives, who were on the verge of starting a legal action to contest the will. After much haggling a compromise... [Pg.141]

He stunned his brother when he said, Tm going to end my life and you will be the executor of my estate. His brother didn t believe that he would carry out the threat. He told his wife I am tired of fighting. He refused hospitalization, saying it felt like "incarceration to him. One month later, immediately after leaving his psychiatrist s office, he slipped away from his wife and jumped to his death from the ninth floor of his Manhattan apartment building (2006). [Pg.101]

Output of the central door lock. The lock cable connected to the executor of the central door lock is u ua% grounded through the normally-closed contact of the internal relay when the door is locked by the remote controller or locked manually, the public contact of the relay will get through the normally-open contact, realizing an output of 12V voltage. [Pg.351]

Attention during the inspection period from step 7 to step 11, the controller will forcibly transit the output signal based on the code number displayed on the integrated display screen to the functioned executor the inspection must be done with such methods as visual inspection, listening to abnormal sound or touching the air vent by hand so as to judge whether there is any improper operation. [Pg.363]

After his death and with the agreement of the executor, the widow Schiff contested the will, alleging that her husband s health had been in decline for many years and had rendered him a semi-invalid. She sued for compensation for all the time that she had served as his nurse. At the end of a regrettable trial, Ida Fiestmann Merzbacker Schiff succeeded in augmenting her pension by about one-third. [Pg.29]

Note that run-to-completion does not mean that the tasklet will execute uninterruptedly or that it will not dynamically change the core where it is being executed, since the executor itself might be scheduled in a preemptive, or quantum-based scheduler, with global or partitioned scheduling. [Pg.200]

Eventual progress - when cores are available, ready tasklets might need to wait for the availability of an executor, but it is guaranteed that one will become available so that the tasklet will eventually be executed. [Pg.201]

When executing in protected actions, it is possible to allow tasklets to spawn new tasklets, if we are able to guarantee that deadlock will not arise from different executors accessing the same locks. [Pg.204]

This is possible if (i) the executor that is executing the parent tasklet (which owns the lock of the protected action) is only allowed to execute children tasklets, suspending or spinning if none are available for execution (this guarantees that the same executor will not acquire another non-nested lock) and (ii) fully-strict fork-join is used thus all nested children tasklets need to join with the ancestor that entered the... [Pg.204]
