Unfortunately I could not give a welcome address at the opening session, the day before yesterday, due to inevitable circumstances. This evening, however, I am very happy to be here with all the participants. 

The organizers are indebted to the authorities of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles for their hospitality and for the welcome address made by the reprensentative of the Rector of the University. 

The transfer to Daresbury was celebrated in December 1977 with the first Daresbury Study Weekend, inspired by the Atlas symposium mentioned above, which was devoted to the study of correlated wave fiinctions. It is interesting to read Phil Burke s Introduction and Welcome address to the assembled company in which he took the opportunity to define the CCPS.

The organizers thank Professor P. Rouxhet, Prorector, for his welcome address to the participants. 

The welcoming address was given by Professor Dr. Alfred G. Hildebrandt, the head of the Max von Pettenkofer Institute, on behalf of Professor Dr. Karl tiberla, the president of the Federal Health Office. It was stressed that the problem of a medical evaluation of heavy-metal intake - particularly in the case of infants - has not been solved on a world-wide scale. Apparently, toxicologists are just beginning to understand this problem. 

Dr. F. K. Kaferstein, Officer Responsible for WHO s Food Safety Programme, delivered the following welcomming address on behalf of the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO)... 

IV International Conference From Nanostmctures, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies to Nanoindustry opened at 10 00 on April 03, 2013 at Student Palace Integral. After the official welcoming addressed, the leading scientists in nanotechnologies made the presentations. 

We also gratefully acknowledge the University Authorities for providing us with facilities, and in particular Dr L, Van Simaeys, Head of the Library of Sciences, who provided us with the lecture room where the Poster session was organized. The organizers also thank Professor V. Hanssens for his welcome address to the participants.
