Weekly Total Reach

The first overview Facebook provides is on your reach and engagement metrics. You can see your total Likes, the People Talking About This metric, and your Weekly Total Reach. Make note of whether these numbers are trending up or down — hopefully they re trending up Figure 9-14 shows an example of this dashboard. The bottom line is Posts, the middle line is People Talking About This, and the top line is Weekly Total Reach. [Pg.157]

Because methyl mercury freely distributes throughout the body, monitoring of mercury in the blood is usually carried out to identify exposure to methyl mercury. The concentration of total mercury in blood among people who are not occupationally exposed is influenced by their consumption of fish. Heavy consumers of lake fish have higher blood mercury levels than those who eat fish only rarely. People who never eat fish have blood levels of around 2 pg Hg/L, while the mercury concentrations of those who eat fish three times a week may reach close to 10 pg Hg/L. [Pg.535]

A marked improvement is generally noted after 4—8 weeks of treatment. Treatment is often continued until a total dose of 3 g is reached. In the case of coccidioidomycosis, for example, treatment with 0.4—0.8 mg/kg/d may last months. The polyene is adrninistered intrathecaHy to treat Coccidioides meningitis. However, the results are only moderate. It is very important to check renal and hepatic function during treatment with amphotericin B. [Pg.256]

The question now is What happens to the absolute amount of PCB accumulated by fish if they continue to be fed contaminated food after whole body PCB concentration has reached a steady state The answer is that they continue to accumulate PCB at app-oximately the same rate that they grow (2,24). This is shown in Figure 2 for juvenile rainbow trout fed 15 ppm of Aroclor 1254 (24). Panel A reveals that PCB concentration in whole fish increased until a steady state was reached between 24 and 32 weeks. Panel B demonstrates that the absolute amount of PCB accumulated by the fish increased in an exponential fashion throughout the study and panel C shows that wet weight of the fish also increased exponentially. Taken together these findings demonstrate that whole body PCB concentration reaches a steady state between 24 and 32 weeks od dietary exposure (A) because the exponential increase in total amount of PCB accumulated (B) is offset by the exponential increase in bo-y weight (C). [Pg.24]

Addition of fuel oil no. 2 to a laboratory marine ecosystem showed that the insoluble, saturated hydrocarbons in the oil were slowly transported to the sediment on suspended particulate material. The particulate material contained 40-50% of the total amount of aliphatics added to the system and only 3-21% of the aromatic fraction (Oviatt et al. 1982). This indicates that most aromatic hydrocarbons are dissolved in the water (Coleman et al. 1984), whereas the aliphatic hydrocarbons are not (Gearing et al. 1980 Oviatt et al. 1982). In a similar experiment, when fuel oil no. 2 was added continuously to a marine ecosystem for 24 weeks, oil concentrations in the sediment remained low until 135 days after the additions began, but then increased dramatically to levels that were 9% of the total fuel oil added (108 g/tank) and 12% of the total fuel oil saturated hydrocarbons. The fuel oil concentrations in the sediment began to decrease quite rapidly after the maximum levels were reached. The highest sediment concentrations of saturated hydrocarbons (106-527 g/g) were found in the surface flocculent layer, with concentrations decreasing with sediment depth from 22 g/g to not detectable at 2-3 cm below the sediment surface. [Pg.130]

The reaction was carried out at 100°C for about two hours until the theoretical isocyanate content, as determined by the di-n-butylamine titration method (27), was reached. The PU prepolymer with or without tertiary amine nitrogen groups was dissolved in dry MEK to obtain a prepolymer solution of 30-40% solids. It was then mixed with a mixture of 1,4-BD/TMP (4 1 by equiv. ratio) at an NCO/OH = 1.05/1.0 ratio in the presence of T-12 catalyst (0.05% based on total weight). The reaction mixture was cast in a metal mold treated with a release agent at ambient temperature. After standing 3-5 hours at room temperature, the mold was placed in an oven and post-cured at 100°C for 16 hours. The samples were then conditioned in a desiccator for one week before testing. [Pg.312]

Socinski et al. have reported on their phase I/II experience with dose-escalated thoracic radiation in the setting of a combined modality approach to locally advanced NSCLC (55,64). Two cycles of carboplatin and paclitaxel (AUC 6 and 225 mg/m2/3h q21d) were followed on d 43 by weekly carboplatin and paclitaxel (AUC 2 and 45 mg/ m2/3h x 6) and thoracic radiotherapy (TRT), 50 Gy was delivered to the prechemotherapy tumor volume and areas of suspected microscopic spread in the mediastinum with a 1.0-2.0 cm margin. Boost volumes included the primary tumor volume and all radiographically positive nodes with a 1.0 cm margin. The total dose of radiation was escalated through four cohorts of patients 60,66,70,74 Gy without reaching any of the planned toxicity endpoints. The overall response to the therapy was 50% (3% CR, 47%... [Pg.73]
