Local exhaust ventilation

General conditions of work, e.g. maintenance of adequate general ventilation, local exhaust ventilation, access, lighting, fire precautions, occupational health measures, housekeeping. [Pg.413]

Ventilation, local exhaust See Local exhaust ventilation. [Pg.1486]

Ventilation Local exhaust Mandatory. Must be filtered or scrubbed to limit exit concentrations to <0.00001 mg/m3. Air emissions will meet local, state, and federal regulations. [Pg.344]

VENTILATION Local Exhaust Mandatory. Must be filtered or scrubbed. [Pg.433]

Ventilation is an important method of reducing the level of toxic airborne contaminants in the process environment. Ventilation includes general (dilution) ventilation and local exhaust (vent) ventilation. General ventilation involves dilution of air and hence the term dilution ventilation. Local exhaust ventilation is a method of removing contaminants before they enter the workplace air. Local ventilation is typically achieved by employing a hood that covers the specific area of contamination. [Pg.766]

Local Exhaust Ventilation. Local exhaust ventilation is designed to intercept the flammable atmosphere at the source of release and directs it into a system where air is safely separated from the fuel. Correctly designed local exhaust ventilation systems could be very effective in limiting the spread of dust cloud atmospheres beyond the source of release. Local exhaust ventilation is generally less expensive to run than dilution ventilation because less air is used. [Pg.790]

Inhalation corrosive-, sore throat, cough, severe breathing difficulties, unconsciousness. ventilation, local exhaust or respiratory protection. fresh ar, rest, place in half-sitting position, take to hospital. [Pg.1]

Inhalation ventilation, local exhaust or respiratory protection. fresh dr, rest. caN a doctor. [Pg.2]

Inhalation severe breathing diffici4ties. headache, dizziness, cramps, fe ng of weakness. ventilation, local exhaust or respiratory protection. fredi air, rest, special treatment take to hospitd. [Pg.8]

Inhalation cough, shortness of breath, drowsiness, sleepiness. ventilation, local exhaust or respkatoiy protection. fresh air, rest, call a doctor. [Pg.30]
