IPNs are formed sequentially by more than one IPN in a process, whereas simultaneous IPNs are formed simultaneously. However, semi-IPNs are formed by the polymerisation of a monomer in the presence of a polymer. All the types of IPN listed earlier are found in vegetable oil-based polymers.
