Untraditional SHE performance indicators

Total recordable injury rate (TRI-rate) Total number of recordable injuries per 10 employee-hours. The recordable injuries include fatalities, lost-time injuries, medical treatment injuries other than first aid, and injuries resulting in loss of consciousness, transfer to another job or restricted work (compare Table 6.3). 

LTI -rate Lost-time injuries with the potential for severe harm per 10 employee-hours. 

Days since last LTI Number of calendar days since last lost-time injury. 

Accumulated number of lost-time injuries Accumulated number of lost-time injuries since the start of the period. 

Above we discussed some problems with the traditional loss-based SHE performance indicators. A number of alternatives have been developed to compensate for some of these problems, Table 17.2.
