Types of Patterns

In the production of clothing, partial and complete pictures as well as single- and multisize pictures are distinguished. In contrast to the complete picture, partial pictures have only the contours of one design side (right side or back side of the design). This happens when the fabric is folded in the middle. One-size pictures have only the components of one clothing size.

Familial hypertriacylglycerolemia (type IV) Overproduction of VLDL often associated with glucose intolerance and hyperinsulinemia. Cholesterol levels rise with the VLDL concentration. LDL and HDL tend to be subnormal. This type of pattern is commonly associated with coronary heart disease, type II diabetes mellitus, obesity, alcoholism, and administration of progestational hormones. 

We prepared microchannel reactor employing stainless steel sheet 400tan thick patterned microchannel by a wet chemical etching. The microchannel shape and dimension were decided by computer simulation of flow distribution and pressure drop of the reactants in the microchaimel sheet. Two different types of patterned plates with mirror image were prepared [5]. The plate has 21 straight microchannels which are 550/an wide, 230/an deep and 34mi long as revealed in Fig. 1(b). 

Figure 37 illustrates the type of pattern one can obtain with the capillary system. Note complete return to baseline so that the area under the curve may be calculated by a computer for evaluation. 

There are many types of pattern recognition which essentially differ in the way they define classification rules. In this section, we will describe some of the approaches, which we will then develop further in the following sections. We will not try to develop a classification of pattern recognition methods but merely indicate some characteristics of the methods, that are found most often in the chemometric literature and some differences between those methods. 

For a number of the systems, comparisons were made between the effects of enantiomeric composition in the monolayer and corresponding melting-point-composition curves for the crystals. All of the latter gave clear evidence of racemic compound formation in the crystals, and this type of pattern was repeated in the monolayer properties. 

This review will discuss two types of patterning approaches that can be employed with patternable block copolymers. Usually many set of lattice planes can simultaneously be exactly or close to the Bragg orientation and give a multi-beam pattern made of several diffracted beams as shown in the example on figure 2c. A special type of multi-beam pattern concerns Zone-Axis Patterns (ZAP). This type of pattern is observed when a high symmetry [uvw] direction of the crystal is parallel to the incident beam. In this case, the spots on the pattern are arranged along Laue zones (Figure 2d). 

The program, AXIS, was specifically designed to analyse fibre diffraction patterns similar to that shown in Figure 1, although some of the methods described in this chapter may be extended to other types of pattern if required. The fibre patterns are recorded on flat film using pinhole collimated, nickel-filtered CuKor radiation, and finely powdered calcite is dusted onto the specimen to provide a calibration ring of spacing 0.3035 nm.

Daccord et al. (1993a, b) investigated systematically the types of patterns that develop by the etching of the porous medium, when the flow rate and the reaction rate (i.e., rate of dissolution) are varied. Concerning the fourth type of pattern, Ni (and REE) are relatively more depleted in the Negro waters than in the Solimoes waters. These elements have a very limited solubility and are transported mainly in the particulate form. Following Gaillardet et al. (1997), pH strongly controls the transport phase of these elements.
