Tube extensions

Note. (1) In general the apparatus used in these metal-liquid ammonia reductions is essentially that shown in Fig. 2.69 (d), but without the dropping funnel tube extension. The dropping funnel is replaced with the soda-lime guard-tube, which may then be removed at appropriate intervals for the periodic addition of metal fragments. After the flask has been charged with liquid ammonia, the inlet tube is replaced with a suitable thermometer, the bulb of which should be immersed in the reaction solution. A dry ice-acetone cooling bath should be used. 

But not all countries succeeded in becoming active participants of new energy projects. The Ukrainian oil pipeline Odessa-Brody has been idling from 2001. The main reason is an unsettled problem on financing of the tube extension project and also insufficiency of additional volumes of the Caspian oil [4]. In August of 2006, the Ukrainian government declared the pipeline will be operated in a reverse regime until 2008.

In reproductive growth, BR has been shown to promote the growth of pollen tubes in vitro, at a concentration an order of magnitude below those of auxin or gibberellin (41). Abe (42) has recently reported correlative changes in the levels of BRs in lily pollen as it matures, with increases in two of the more active BRs. Taken together with the response of pollen tubes in vitro (41), his data suggest active BRs are present in mature pollen in adequate amounts to contribute to the control of pollen tube extension in vivo. 

The spectra were recorded at 25.2 MHz with the samples fully swollen in CDCI3 in 12 mm o.d. tubes. Extensive relaxation experiments and attempts to quantify relative peak areas demonstrated a number of artefacts to arise in the generation of these spectra (see later). Nevertheless the work set the scene for the expansion in the use of so-called gel-phase NMR spectroscopy applied to solid phase reactions on crosslinked polymer supports. 

After complete dehydration, (14) cesium (99.98% purity, Johnson Matthey Inc.) was distilled from a side-arm breakseal ampoule to the glass tube extension of the crystal-containing capillary. This glass reaction vessel was sealed off under vacuum and placed within two cylindrical coaxially attached horizontal ovens. The oven around the crystal was maintained at 350 °C for 16 hours, while the oven around the distilled cesium was at 209 °C to give 0.1 torr of cesium vapor in the entire reaction vessel. (18) The capillary was then allowed to cool (after the cesium source had cooled) and was sealed off from the reaction vessel with a small torch while still under vacuum at 25 C. An examination of the product under the microscope showed that the colorless crystal of dehydrated had...

These transducers read Azimuth position within reactor, tubes elevation angle, tubes extension, knuckle angle and hose payout.
