Trial Run the Observation Checklist and Process

At this point, your design team is ready to do a trial run of your observation process. This trial run has three objectives  

Fine tune the checklist and observation procedure to ensure ease of use. 

Develop baseline data for each checklist (i.e., for each separate area or function that will observed). 

You should walk through the entire observation process and debug each step. Be prepared to go through several revisions of each checklist and procedure. 

For this kind of application, you should strive for a rehabihty coefficient of 80 percent or better. The better your rehabihty at this stage, the easier it will later be to train observers. If you have a very clear and simple checkhst with weU-pinpointed items, new observers will be able to conduct their observations with
