TRANSPOSE procedure

Transposed laboratory methods - This first group is historically the most important as the first developments were carried out in that way. All colorimetric systems using automatic sampling feeding a fast reaction/detection line (for example, with a flow-injection procedure) have been developed from classical procedures, first to increase the analytical rate in laboratories before being transposed for off-line measurement.

Massive quantities of wiring documentation describing the connections to the RTU s were transposed into configuration data files available to the computer. Before CPC start-up, a detailed system checkout procedure was implemented to conflrm the accuracy of the data files. A preventive maintenance program was initiated as soon as the system was operational to check metering for proper calibration and reliability on a routine basis. 

In general, the procedure used for visualization of the similarity between features, or for correlation of the features, is the same as that used for visualization of the similarity between objects. If one transposes the matrix of objects and features, the same methods may be used. It is, however, easier to imagine correlating features which describe the similarity of the functional shapes of variables and the similarity of objects, e.g. the similarity of different samples, than the other way around. 

Each step was optimized first before transposing the sequence into a one-pot procedure where excess reagents were removed by filtration in a syringe-type filter before adding the next reactant. Starting from three different methylthioiminium salts 13, rhodanine derivatives 14 and methyliminium salts 17 (Fig. 5.6) a 3 X 3 X 3 parallel synthesis was conducted to furnish 27 different kinds of rhodacyanines 12 (Table 5.1). 

In fact the relative coefficients within a set of symmetrically equivalent atoms, such as Cl, C3, C5, and Cg in para-benzosemiquinone, can be determined by group theory alone. The appropriate set of symmetrized orbitals, also listed in Table 1, can be obtained by use of character tables and procedures described in Refs. 3 to 6. In matrix notation, the symmetrized combinations are <1> = Up, where <1) and p are column vectors and U is the transformation matrix giving the relations shown in part (c) of Table 1. The transformation U and its transpose U can be used to simplify the solution of the secular matrix X since the matrix multiplication UXU gives the block diagonal form shown in part (6) of Table 1. 

Data extraction is the process of selecting and copying data fields to an external file. Data extraction procedures generally produce files that are simply a reflection of the database. The data can then be manipulated and/or transposed to achieve an optimal structure for analysis and reporting requirements. Additional fields can be derived, response values standardized or decoded, and variables labeled more clearly. 

Below a minimal Matlab script for the determination of the CQMOM approximation (Yuan Fox, 2011) for a bivariate case is reported. The script requires the specification of the number of nodes desired for the first (Nl) and second (N2) internal coordinate. The moments used in the calculation must be provided in matrix form. The matrix containing the moments m is defined by two indices the first one indicates the order of the moments with respect to the first internal coordinate (index 1 for moment 0, index 2 for moment order 1, etc.), whereas the second one is for the order of the moments with respect to the second internal coordinate. The structure of the data resembles that of Tables 3.9-3.11. The script calculates the N = N1N2 weights and nodes and stores them in the vector w and in the matrix xi, which have the same structure as in the previous script. The procedure is based on the calculation of the moments with respect to the second internal coordinate, conditioned on the value of the first internal coordinate. The calculation of the quadrature constructed on moments conditioned on the second internal coordinate can be simply carried out by providing the script with the transpose of the moment matrix. 

Concerning the particulates emissions for diesel passenger cars, the proposal is based on the US measurement method, transposed into the European test procedure and intended to be introduced in two stages, first large cars October 1, 1988 for new models and October 1, 1989 for new registrations, followed by medium and small cars from October 1991 for new models and 1993 for new registrations. 

The proposal is based on the presently available though limited knowledge of the performances of the best available diesel technology in the European motor industry as a whole. Furthermore, it takes into account the lack of accuracy and reproductibility which result from the simple transposal, into the European test procedure, of the sampling and analysis method of the current US legislation which is at present the only codified method available.
