Transparencies copy preparation

Once you have a feel for the flow of a presentation, you are in a position to prepare the presentation copy and to actually produce the slide file. We consider both of these topics after first considering the somewhat peculiar language of transparency copy. [Pg.82]

Canada Balsam. This balsam is the product 4>f the Canadian balsam fir, a tree of very common 0)wth in Canada and the State of Maine. When fresh, it has the consistence of thin honey, an agreeable odor, an acid taste, and a pale yellow color, nearly white. It should be perfectly transparent, and. soluble in rectified oil of turpentine, with which it fonns a beautiful glassy and colorless varnish, which is much used for preparing a semi-transparent copying-paper. A factitious kind is sold, but Is wholly deficient of some of the properties of the genuine balsam. [Pg.305]

Figure 4 is a bird s eye view of the hydration sphere. The original 3-dimensional model of this photo has been prepared by sandwiching transparent copies of the diagrams alternately with plastic plates. We can clearly see that the volume occupied by one hydration sphere is certainly much larger than that of the TBA molecule itself. [Pg.123]

This has led to a consideration of the process of presentation development itself, together with a more detailed examination of some of the aspects of transparency preparation, including copy writing and PowerPoint slide production. Finally, we ve considered key aspects of presentation delivery, including the importance of vocal projection, pace, and modulation. While there is a lot to master, by choosing to present (not speechify) you are already well on your way to becoming effective on your feet in front of a business audience. [Pg.89]

The applicability of the different model substrates, i.e., orodispersible fflms, porous copy paper sheets, and water impermeable transparency films, for the preparation of inkjet printed drug delivery systems was tested (77). An ordinary thermal inkjet printer was used. [Pg.265]

Briefings are a very common form of oral presentation, in which a small group of people (as in a conference room) listen to your talk. The size of the audience will mean that audience members are more likely to try to pay attention to your talk than a very large audience would, but you must directly address their needs for information. Again, conputer slides or transparencies are usually used, and you should prepare a hard copy set of these for each audience member. Because people more often take notes at a briefing than at a formal oral presentation, the hard copy will help them to focus on your talk. Also, they may find it more helpful to follow your talk by looking at your hard copies than at the screen. [Pg.1062]
