Translation signaling

The tasks of transcriptional and translational signal recognition involve the prediction of promoters and sites that function in the initiation and termination of transcription and translation. Bacterial promoter sites, specifically the Escherichia coli RNA polymerase promoter site, are now very well characterized. The main problem is that the two conserved regions of the bacterial promoter, the -10 and -35 regions, are separated from each other by 15 to 21 bases, making the detection of the entire promoter as a single pattern difficult. Eukaryotic promoters are less well characterized than their bacterial equivalents. The major elements are the CCAAT box, GC box, TATA box and cap site.

Morse, Samuel E B. (1791-1872) An artist and inventor born in Massachusetts, Morse painted portraits and taught art at the City University of New York before experimenting with electricity. In the mid-1830 s, he designed the components of a practical telegraph—a sender, receiver, and a code to translate signals into numbers and words—and in 1844 sent the first message via wire. This paper presents a framework for integrating multivariate statistical process monitoring and PHASuite, an automated HAZOP analysis tool, for abnormal event management of batch process. Multiway PCA is used for batch process monitoring and fault detection. After abnormal event is detected, signal-to-symbol transformation technique based on contribution plots is used to translate signal measurements to symbol information, and is input to PHASuite. PHASuite is then used to identify the potential causes, adverse consequences and potential operator options for the abnormal event.
