Tinted moisturizers

Sunless tanners are applied to the skin to produce an effect similar in appearance to a traditional suntan, but without uv light. Sunless tanners are available in gyms and spas and the tan lasts 3-10 days. Bronzers give a temporary tan and can wash off. Bronzer is a term not defined in the federal regulations. Tinted moisturizers fall in this category. They must contain FDA approved color additives (42). [Pg.31]

Weatherability E = excellent, VG = very good, G = good, F = fair, P = poor, NR = not recommended. The ratings of the asterisked cadmiums are dependent on the imperviousness of the polymer to moisture vapor transmission. Cadmium yellows in tint and mercury-cadmium pigments are not recommended for exterior exposure. Ultramarine blue (double asterisk) performance is highly dependent on the degree of acid exposure. [Pg.145]

Bepeat the process according to the depth of color deaired. W h with warm water, and dry then rub over with boiled linseed oil. The metal receives a brown tint and resists moisture. The chloride of antinwny should be as little acid as possible. [Pg.382]

Dark red, oily liquid with a brown tint odor similar to S3CI3 sensitive to moisture. M.p. —85°C, b.p. (733 mm.) 127°C with partial decomposition into Se and SeCl cannot be distilled without decomposing, even at reduced pressure, d 2.77. [Pg.423]

Copper(I) chloride when pure is a perfectly v/hite substance and in the absence of moisture is unaffected by light or air. On exposure to light in the presence of moisture, copper(I) chloride develops a violet or dark-blue tint. Moist air converts it into a dark-green material that is... [Pg.3]

The wood nanocellulose fibers are suitable for solidification of emulsion paints and filter aids, useful for both primary rough filtration and precision filtration. Moreover, nanocellulose from wood is used in paper making as a coating and dye carrier in paper tinting (Matsuda 2000 Matsuda Y et al. 2001). Additionally, wood nanocellulose can be employed in the food industry as a thickening agent, a gas barrier, and in moisture resistant paper laminate for packaging (loelovich and Leykin 2004). [Pg.547]

Description Elastomeric encapsulant for interior/ exterior white only. Tint may be added, or encapsulant may be painted over. Flame retardant, creates a moisture vapor lock, impermeable to the leaching of lead through the encapsulant. Safety/precautions Contains anti-ingestive agent, Bitrex (bitter taste to prevent children from eating it). [Pg.251]

Procedure. A spot plate is used. A few milligrams of the pulverized specimen are treated with a few drops of the reagent solution. If the sample contains water, the reaction takes place topochemically (on the surface of the specimen) and a light colored material is thus tinted orange-red. A comparison blank, in an adjacent depression of the plate, is advisable. If it seems best to exclude atmospheric moisture, the liquid in the depressions can be shielded by several drops of mineral oil. [Pg.377]

If made for immediate use the sodium nitrate salt can be used with advantage—this salt giving a deeper tint It is, however, unfortunately most deliquescent (liable to absorb moisture), and must be most carefully dried in an... [Pg.61]
