Third Temple

The ZrOg sensor investigated at Temple University responds to pH and is insensitive to the Eh of the solution. However, the bare platinum wire used to complete the circuit in the test chamber will respond to changes in the Eh conditions. It is believed that a linear relationship between pH and EMF was observed in this experiment because the test solutions employed were all air-saturated and therefore had similar Eh values. This hypothesis was tested by sequentially pumping three identical sets of pH buffer solutions through the test chamber. Hebrews surrender a tenth of their harvest for God and the priests. Every third year the laws of Deuteronomy required that a portion of these tithes be used to assist orphans and widows (Deut 14 22-29). This custom continued among the Jews at least until the Second Temple period, circa 300 b.c. (Tob 1 8). If we follow the hrst or the second reading, a delegation has set out to consult the priests and the prophets in n rpa (v. 3) which probably denotes the central sanctuary in Jerusalem. The leaders are then likely to be part of the newly arrived elite from Babylon. If, however, we follow the third reading, then the opposite view prevails, namely that there was a sanctuary ( n n n) in Bethel (fa rra) which functioned as a place of worship in the interim between the destruction of the old temple and the rebuilding of the new, and that the clergy officiating there were among the people who had remained in Judah after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 bce. 

A third type of earthquake evidence in the archeological record are t)q)ical strain structures in the building fabric that are primarily caused by coseismic ground shaking and ground motion.
