Third Temple

It symbolises the fact that they are now better protected. To the third temple with its light-blue stairs go those to be ordained as sublime masters, and they come down having been approved as worthy and respected masters of the esoteric sciences. [Pg.97]

The Jewish chronicler Flavius Josephus and Roman historian Tacitus both wrote that Titus had not wanted to destroy the Third Temple. They did so because after heavily fortifying the temple, the Zealots fervently defended it. ... [Pg.25]

In the New Testament, Kundalini is referred to as the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, who is the Lord, the Giver of Life. The planetary reservoir of Kundalini is termed the Laboratory of the Holy Spirit and initiation as the work of the Holy Spirit. Hence, Jesus question takes on deeper import, Know ye not that ye are temples of the Holy Spirit and that the Power of the Most High dwells within you The human body is the temple, and the heart is the temple s sanctuary (literally, holy place ). But the Adytum, the temple s Holy of Holies, is the pineal gland, the rudimentary third eye. The Stone is confected in the pineal gland by the Spirit-Fire of Chokmah and so the favorite name that the old alchemists awarded themselves was philosophers, the lovers of Wisdom. ... [Pg.37]

The ZrOg sensor investigated at Temple University responds to pH and is insensitive to the Eh of the solution. However, the bare platinum wire used to complete the circuit in the test chamber will respond to changes in the Eh conditions. It is believed that a linear relationship between pH and EMF was observed in this experiment because the test solutions employed were all air-saturated and therefore had similar Eh values. This hypothesis was tested by sequentially pumping three identical sets of pH buffer solutions through the test chamber. In the first calibration, the solutions were saturated with oxygen gas in the second calibration, the solutions were saturated with hydrogen gas in the third calibration, the solutions were saturated with air. There was a several hundred millivolt shift in the EMF in response to these three sets of solutions however, in each calibration the pH versus EMF response was linear. Clearly,... [Pg.207]

The cult of Isis was developed in ancient Egypt no later than the Third Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, approximately 2780 B.C., and represents one of the earliest formal articulations of the entropic and backward ideology of mother-worship. As known to the Priesthood of the Temple of Isis — true believers themselves — the Isis cult formalizes the elements of a capability for social control, exploitation, and destruction of creative free will in subject populations. The elements include ... [Pg.256]

Even ballet has not been immune from toxic influences. La Bayadere, with music by Leon Minkus, and choreographed by Lucien Petipa in its 1877 premiere, involves a love triangle. Nikiya, the temple dancer and abandoned third of the triangle, succumbs to the bite of a poisonous snake sent to her in a basket of flowers by her rival, Gamzatti, and the latter s prospective father-in-law, the Rajah. [Pg.2747]

Everything in the holy Torah (Bible) has, in accordance with the mysterious trinity of human Nature, a threefold sense firstly, the external historical meaning of the word (Paschut), which corresponds to the body and the forecourt in the temple secondly, the allegorical-mystical sense (D rasch), which corresponds to the Soul and to the Saints in the temple and thirdly, the inner secret sense (Sod), which represents the Spirit and the Holy of Holies. [Pg.95]

A custom adopted by the Chinese in 246BC still exists today. Known as the Chou Ritual, it was developed several centuries before the time of Confucius. In the first, wands with whole feathers were waved, in the worship of the spirits of agriculture. In the second wands with divided feathers were used in the ancestral temples. In the third feather caps were worn on the head, and the upper garments were adorned with kingfisher feathers in blessing the four quarters of the realm. In the fourth yak-tails were used in ceremonial for the promotion of harmony. In the fifth shields were manipulated to celebrate military... [Pg.3]

Hebrews surrender a tenth of their harvest for God and the priests. Every third year the laws of Deuteronomy required that a portion of these tithes be used to assist orphans and widows (Deut 14 22-29). This custom continued among the Jews at least until the Second Temple period, circa 300 b.c. (Tob 1 8). Second, the law mandated that orphans should share in the communal meals celebrating the Pentecost (Deut i6 ii), a law which contrasts sharply with the Homeric image of the fallen Hector s boy ejected from the festival meals of his father s former companions (Iliad, 22.496 8). Third, the Mosaic law allowed orphans to glean the fields after the harvest they had the right to shafts of wheat left in the fields or to olives and grapes still on the branches (Deut 24 19-24). [Pg.42]

If we follow the hrst or the second reading, a delegation has set out to consult the priests and the prophets in n rpa (v. 3) which probably denotes the central sanctuary in Jerusalem. The leaders are then likely to be part of the newly arrived elite from Babylon. If, however, we follow the third reading, then the opposite view prevails, namely that there was a sanctuary ( n n n) in Bethel (fa rra) which functioned as a place of worship in the interim between the destruction of the old temple and the rebuilding of the new, and that the clergy officiating there were among the people who had remained in Judah after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 bce. [Pg.70]

A third type of earthquake evidence in the archeological record are t)q)ical strain structures in the building fabric that are primarily caused by coseismic ground shaking and ground motion. These earthquake-related damage features are most conspicuous on monumental buildings and constructions, such as temples, fountains, theaters, basilicas, pavements, columns, statues, aqueducts, etc. [Pg.140]

When the massive third-millennium Temple Oval was constructed, the Sin Temple was not replaced by the new building but continued in use, subsumed within, and barely differentiated from, the residential quarter that lay outside the Oval s walls. It seems likely that the Sin Temple as well as other, smaller religious structuresi° dating to the earliest levels housed a parallel set of practices... [Pg.159]
