The Phenomena of Interference in Chemical and Biochemical Redox Reactions with Hydrogen Peroxide

The Phenomena of Interference in Chemical and Biochemical Redox Reactions with Hydrogen Peroxide [Pg.185]

1 HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DISSOCIATION INTHE LIQUID PHASE [Pg.185]

The liquid-phase free radical dissociation of aqueous H202 predominantly occurs at room temperature. It is initiated by the effect of vessel walls or particles suspended in the mixture [1, 2], However, Kazarnovsky [3] suggested that purified aqueous H202 dissociates homogeneously according to the following mechanism  [Pg.185]

In the framework of this mechanism, a proper explanation can be found based on experimental facts H202 dissociation catalysis by alkaline additives and stabilization by small increments of acids and OH radical acceptors. [Pg.186]
