ICA trimer films were produced by the electropolymerisation of 100 mM ICA in background electrolyte at + 1.46 V at the RDE, rotating at 4 Hz. Under these conditions [8,9], electrooxidation and film production occurs under steady-state current conditions at close to 100% current efficiency, and the film is expected to consist almost entirely of free trimer. The electrooxidation reaction was terminated after passing a charge of 173 mC. From equation (11.1) and (11.23) we calculate that this corresponds to 25 mC of redox charge or approximately 250 nmoles of deposited trimer. [Pg.449]

Numerous complexes of the general composition [LCu X]4 with bridging X (halide) and terminal L (e.g., amines, pyridine, phosphines) ligands are luminescent under ambient conditions [86,87]. The identification of the emissive excited states is complicated by the presence of different electronic transitions such as MC ds, MLCT, and LMCT at comparable energies. Accordingly, simple assignments are not appropriate. [Pg.158]

The actual area of the membrane is not used directly, but is rather embedded within the flux modeling, as will be shown later. A dimensionless area is incorporated for locating a position within the colunm, without being restricted to exact dimensions. However, the dimensionless area is related to the real area. As a boundary condition, the membrane area is zero at the top of the column. It increases down the length of the column, until the MCS is terminated. [Pg.300]

LLDPE grades based on metallocene (mC) or single-site catalysts (SSC) can show a certain effect of LCB. This is because mC catalysts are able to incorporate vinyl-terminated chains as comonomers. This is considered as a possible way to improve the processing behaviour of these narrow MWD materials. The catalyst system used as well as the polymerisation conditions play an important role in the amount of LCB reached in the final product. Figure 5.12 compares two different mC - LLDPE with and without LCB. [Pg.106]
