The Csajagi research group used a commercial X-Cube continuous flow reactor system [32] to perform similar reactions. The reactor is made of stainless steel, capable of reaching pressures of up to 150 bar, and equipped with preloaded catalyst cartridges. For a Cu-terephtalic acid MOF, cyclic voltammetry in aqueous solution at pH 4.85 resulted in two overlapping cathodic waves at -0.25 and -0.50 V versus SCE and a single oxidation peak at -1-0.33 V versus SCE. The latter was associated with the oxidation of copper metal formed at low potential (E < -0.35 V vs SCE) and disappeared when the lower potential boundary was restricted to -0.25 V versus SCE. Square-wave voltammetry resulted in a better resolution of the various cathodic peaks, with three resolved peaks at -0.14, -0.17, and -0.20 V versus SCE. [Pg.426]
