Tellurium Trichloroacetate

Bis[4-methoxyphenyI] Tellurium Blsjtrichloroacetate] A solution of 4.4 g (12 mmol) of bis[4-methoxyphenyl] tellurium oxide in 20 ml of carbon tetrachloride is mixed with a solution of 4.1 g (25 mmol) of trichloroacetic acid in 10 ml of carbon tetrachloride and boiled for 5 min. The resultant mixture is filtered through a layer of anhydrous calcium chloride to remove water, the filtrate is evaporated, and the residue is washed with petroleum ether, dried, and recrystallized from carbon tetrachloride yield 8.2 g (99%) m.p. [Pg.610]

Refluxing diaryl tellurium bis[trichloroacetates] in xylene produced diaryl tellurium dichlorides1. [Pg.615]

Bis[4-methoxyphenyl] tellurium oxide reacted with an equimolar amount of trichloroacetic acid in benzene to produce bis[4-methoxyphenyl tellurium hydroxide trichloroacetate. ... [Pg.624]

Bis[4-methoxyphenyl] Tellurium Hydroxide Trichloroacetate1 3.58 g (1.0 mmol) of bis[4-methoxyphenyl] tellurium oxide is suspended in 30 ml of dry benzene and a solution of 1.65 g (1.0 mmol) of trichloroacetic acid in 10 ml of dry benzene is added dropwise to the stirred suspension over i 0 min. The mixture is stirred for 14 min at 20°. filtered, and the filtrate evaporated. The oily residue is triturated with petroleum ether and the resultant solid is rccrystallized from carbon tetrachloride yield 4.85 g (95%) m.p. 116-119°. [Pg.624]

The reaction between diphenyl tellurium bis[trichloroacetate] and tetrabutylammonium bromide in refluxing dichloromethane is claimed to have produced tetrabutylammonium diphenylbromodichlorotellurate(IV) (m.p. 57°)4. [Pg.668]

Diphenyl tellurium bis[trichloroacetate] and tetramethylammonium chloride in refluxing chloroform yielded tetramethylammonium bis[trichloromethyl]diphenylchlorotellurate (IV)1. [Pg.711]

When diphenyl tellurium bis[trichloroacetate] was refluxed in dichloromethane with 4-methylpyridine, tetramethylpiperidine, or dimethylacetamide, 1 1 adducts of diphenyl tellurium dichloride with these ligands were isolated". ... [Pg.615]

Tetramethoxyphenothiatellurin-5,5-dichloride (107) is prepared by reacting bis(3,4-dimethoxy-phenyl)sulfide (105) with mercuric chloride in trichloroacetic acid and then treating the intermediate (106) with tellurium tetrachloride (Scheme 28) <87PS(29)377>. [Pg.1004]

The trichloro(ethane-l,2-diolato-6>,0 )tellurate(IV) anion [0CH2CH20TeCb]2 , 217, self-assembles into dimeric pairs, via Te - -0 secondary bonds (Te-O 1.946 and 1.968 A, Te --0 2.764 A) [517]. Oxygen-bridging is also present in bis(p-methoxyphenyl)tellurium(IV) diacetate [(4-MeOC6H4)2Te(OOCMe)2]2 [518], and in diphenyltellurium(IV) bis(trichloroacetate), [Ph2Te(OOCCCl3)2]2, 218 [519]. [Pg.298]
