The Steel Structures Paint Council and the Cleveland Society of Coatings Technology Technical Committee have done extensive studies and published and presented numerous papers on the virtues of this procedure, as well as G 85 Atmex 5 [10,11 ... 

If engineers were to respond as moral professionals to socio-technical crises that were only vaguely understood, they needed to define the relevant problems, generate conceptual tools, and justify their authority to multiple constituencies. In 1968, Paschkis was invited by the Aviation and Space Division to arrange technology society sessions at the ASME s aimual meeting. He used the event to form a permanent Technology and Society Committee that channeled dissenters as well as ASME Council members.

Through its committees, divisions, and chapters, the American Vacuum Society has produced a nearly complete bibhography (to 1996) (8), a dictionary of terms (9), a monograph series, and a number of other useful pubHcations (10). Another source of information is the Association of Vacuum Equipment Manufacturers. A history of vacuum ideas and technology development from the Middle Ages to Newton has been given (11). 

The Council of the American Chemical Society, acting through its Committee on National Policy, appointed editors and associates to select authors of competent authority in their respective fields and to consider critically the manuscripts submitted. The first Monograph appeared in 1921 Since 1944 the Scientific and Technological Monographs have been combined in the Scries... 

The committee encourages decision makers in the chemical processing industries to increase their commitment to research in their companies both to retain their world leadership in chemical technology and to deliver to American society... 

These new technological advances also have impacted the work of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). The ASTM committee D20.70.04 currently is involved in developing new size exclusion chromatography methods (GPC) that incorporate these advances. 

This Second Edition of a textbook first published in 1990 forms part of a series on colour and coloration technology initiated by the Textbooks Committee of the Society of Dyers and Colourists under the aegis of the Dyers Company Publications Trust Management Committee, which administers the trust fund generously provided by the Worshipful Company of Dyers.
