Tackiness agent

LZ Series. [Lubrizol] Antioxidant extreme pressure additive, lubricant tackiness agent suspending agent for industrisd applies. [Pg.218]

Olicat . [Alox] Pdyisobutylene in mineral oil tackiness agent, lubricant in lubricating oils and greases. [Pg.263]

The term refers to any chemical substance added to a plastic or elastomer compound to impart or improve certain end-use properties. Common additives are foam agents, colorants, curatives like sulfur or peroxide, accelerators, activators, tackiness agent, stabilizer packages, carbon black, clay. Refer to Carbon Black, Antizonanty and Antioxidants. [Pg.7]

Tackifiers are used to increase the tackiness and the setting speed of adhesives. They increase tackiness by softening the poly(vinyl acetate) polymer in the wet and the dry adhesive film. Tackifiers are usually rosin or its derivatives or phenoHc resins. Other additives frequently needed for specific apphcation and service conditions are antifoams, biocides, wetting agents, and humectants. [Pg.470]

Copovidone forms soluble films independently of the pH value, regardless of whether it is processed as a solution in water or in organic solvents. He offers better plasticity and elasticity than other povidones. On the other hand, films are also less tacky. Kollidon VA 64 usually absorbs water, and it is seldom used as the sole filmforming agent in a formulation. Normally it is better to combine it with less hygroscopic substances such as cellulose derivates [54], shellac, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA),... [Pg.1021]

The product can be used as a permanent handle modifier and also as a loading agent. In the latter case, where the product is used in relatively large quantities, it is advisable to add SILIGEN E to remove the moist tackiness from the goods. PERAPRET SF has established itself as loading agent for synthetic and all-wool fabrics. [Pg.90]

The bis(ureido)silanes, Va-Vh, are white, solid or tacky compounds. These monomers are very reactive toward nucleophilic agents, which readily attack the Si-N bond hence, these compounds are very reactive to traces of water to form the corresponding unsymmetrical urea, as shown in equation 4. [Pg.747]

CAS 68555-98-6 EINECS conforms tacky solid Flash Point (closed cup) = 235 C Sulfur content > 21.8% < 23.8% Softening point > 50 C < 60 C vulcanizing agents stabilizer of rosin resins... [Pg.3096]
