Syncro-Mate-B comprises a norgestomet/Hydron implant (Fig. 3). It measures 3 x 18 mm, contains 6-mg norgestomet, and weighs approximately 0.125 g. During manufacture the implants are encased within a protective plastic sheath and packaged in individually sealed foil packaging. A specially designed applicator is then used to administer them under the skin of the outer surface of the ear of cattle. [Pg.315]
