Sweden gifts

Thanks are expressed to Dr. K.-E. Eriksson (STFI, Stockholm, Sweden) for the gift of the enzyme extract and inoculation of the wood samples to Professor R. Guinet (Institut Pasteur, Lyon Lentilly, France) for the preparation of the IgG directed against the crude protein extracted and to Dr. E. Odier (INA P.G., France) for providing the anti-ligninase antiserum. 

The polymer Gantrez ES-335 was a generous gift from GAF (NORDEN) AB (Johanneshov, Sweden). Timolol was a generous gift from INTERX Research Corp., MSDRL (Lawrence, KS, USA). We are grateful to Mrs Lea Pirskanen for her skilful technical assistance. 

Mannose tri-, tetra- and pentasaccharide together with GM1 octasaccharide were a gift from Dr. M.A. Chester (Lund, Sweden). At the time of writing, these standards are no longer available. Pentasaccharides (from human urine) and sialylated tetra-saccharides (from human milk) are available from Sigma however, they are cost-prohibitive for routine use. 

Promotional gifts may be distributed only with great restraint and may take the form only of articles of negligible value to the recipient. Such articles shall bear the name of the pharmaceutical company or of its representative in Sweden. In addition, or instead of the company or representative s name, a trademark used by the company may be shown. No other marking is permitted.
