Surveillance monitoring groundwater

As with surveillance monitoring, groundwater bodies can be grouped to optimise the monitoring and ensure cost-effectiveness, but in this case there should ideally be at least one monitoring point in each of the component bodies, or else monitoring should be focused in the component body that is most sensitive to impacts from the identified pressures. 

The Main Groundwater Body (or Transfer Zone) For strategic surveillance monitoring, to assess general groundwater body chemical status and trends in water quality. 

Parameters for the determination of groundwater chemical status, and related monitoring requirements (surveillance and operational), including monitoring for the identification of pollution trends, and interpretation and presentation of results.
