Gaseous chlorine is the preferred biocide in almost all large process cooling systems, with sodium hypochlorite (bleach), isocyanurates, chlorine dioxide, and other supply forms being used in lesser volumes. 

An ink must be transformed to a solid from its liquid supply form once on the substrate. This change of state is referred to as an ink drying, and can be physical (absorption or evaporation) or chemical (oxidative or photochemical radiation induced). There are several forms of radiation used to dry ink, including UV, infrared, EB, microwave, and radio frequency. 

For the end user the appearance of the pigment is of interest as well as how it handles under specific conditions. For this reason for many years a variety of versions have been available that combine ease and safety of handling. Lately product cost has become more influential than in the past when selecting supply forms. However, special effects also play a very strong role which often makes cost secondary if it means gaining a market advantage. 

Because of their small particle size and their resulting large surface area, pigment blacks are classed as pigments, which are more difficult to disperse. Depending on the supplied form, pigment blacks can be dispersed with all grinding machines, for example sand mill, pearl mill, ball mill, triple roll mill and others. 

Preferred supplied forms are powders (gold bronze), pastes (aluminum) in plasticizers (like white oil, DINP etc.) and pellets in polyethylene. Due to the chemical nature of gold bronze, there are special coated pigments for use in high temperature processes (tarnish- or heat-resistant gold bronze). Also for use in PVC, special chemically resistant aluminum and gold bronze pigments are available.

In these circumstances, it may be necessary for the hospital doctor to provide a supply of the medication. This is usually achieved via an internal out-patient supply form, which can only be dispensed within the hospital pharmacy. Out-patients supply forms are specific to each hospital and contain the same type of information as an NHS prescription form. 

Although it is usual for any prescriptions issued by hospital prescribers to out-patients to be dispensed within the hospital (and therefore via an out-patient supply form), there may be situations where it is necessary for the item to be supplied within the community. In these situations, it is necessary for the prescriber to prescribe the item(s) via an NHS prescription form (see Section 2.2). 

In order to complete the CP(US) form (community pharmacy urgent supply form) to be able to make the supply, the pharmacist will need the following information ... 

Hardeners. The polymerisation reaction is initiated by peroxide radicals. Typical examples are cyclohexanone peroxide and methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (hydroperoxides), benzoyl peroxide, perbenzoates and peroctoates (acyl peroxides). It is standard to use around 4 % (calculated on the resin and styrene content) of a desensitised supply form (e.g. 50% peroxide in flexibiliser). The manufacturer s instructions are to be observed in handling peroxides. 

Promoters. Substances such as acetyl acetone, ethyl acetoacetate, amides of ace-toacetic acid [2.107], acetyl cyclopentanone [2.108] or tertiary aromatic amines have an accelerating effect on the curing reaction initiated by the hydroperoxide/cobalt octoate. Ethyl acetoacetate is most frequently used. The amount added is 1-3%, calculated on the resin supply form. 

Knifing, Spot and Spray Fillers for Metal and Marble (here also coatings). Knifing and spot fillers are especially suited for filling large areas of unevenness in just a few operations in quick succession. Knifing resins (hard to flexible) are mixed to a paste-like consistency with the extenders described. Benzoyl peroxide and tertiary aromatic amine are used as the hardener system (the latter is usually a component of the resin supply form). 

If there is a danger of electrolyte-induced atomic hydrogen formation and it is not possible to eliminate the electrolyte by drying, the use of steel as soft as possible and careful stress-relieving annealing of the components should be considered. Since austenitic Cr-Ni steels in standard supply form and after normal processing are practically unaffected by hydrogen, they can be used in difficult cases.

Driers are supplied commercially as solutions in hydrocarbon solvents such as white spirit and a low amount of alcohols to improve stability against precipitation. Driers are generally specified by their metal content in the supplied form.
