Supply chain process evaluation SCOR model

Before starting an improvement process, a clear picture of the supply chain has to be obtained. Therefore, Supply Chain Analysis is a critical success factor. Usually, this analysis will describe the as-is status and the desired to-be status. As a supply chain is built up of different companies for a limited time, it is essential that all partners speak the same language to describe and measure the as-is-status as well as to evaluate the to-be-status. For this purpose, usually a widely accepted model called the SCOR-model is used. [Pg.5]

The SCOR process reference model was established by the Supply Chain Council (SCC) in 1996 for standardization purposes. The model describes, characterizes, and evaluates acomplex management process. Such a model builds on the concepts of business process reengineering (BPR), benchmarking, and process measurement by integrating these techniques into a cross-functional framework. [Pg.3]

SCOR model provides a set of five metrics for process level, called SCORCard, for evaluating supply chain performance. The five metrics are rehability, responsiveness, flexibility, cost and assets. [Pg.355]

SCOR model, through the defined process components, allows for modeling, measuring of the description and evaluation of the entire supply chain. It can also serve the restructuring process... [Pg.555]
