Sulfur ligand, metal complexes

Sulfur ligands, 633-655 coordination ability, 516 Sulfur monoxide metal complexes instability, 636 Superoxide dismutase, 773 copper complexes, 772 Superoxo complexes, 315-330 binuclear, 323, 325 reactions, 330 bridged... [Pg.1098]

The preparation of a series of transition metal complexes (Co. Ni. Pd. Pt, Ir. Au. Cu. Ag) with ambident anion (70) and phosphines as ligands has been reported recently (885). According to the infrared and NMR spectra the thiazoline-2-thione anion is bounded through the exocyclic sulfur atom to the metal. The copper and silver complexes have been found to be dimeric. [Pg.386]

The S2O ligand in complexes is coordinated to the metal atom through both sulfur atoms which causes an increase of the SS bond length. Such complexes are also accessible by the reaction of sulfinyhmido complexes with H2S [52]. [Pg.211]

Oxidative-addition reactions have been widely studied with bridged dinuclear metal complexes [1,2,5, 32]. Earlier work with the ylides and sulfur bonded ligands... [Pg.9]

Metal complexes of ligands containing a sulfur donor in conjunction with nitrogen, oxygen or a second sulfur have been reviewed in the past [11-13]. For example, reviews of the coordination compounds of dithiophosphates [14], dithiocarbamates [15, 16], dithiolates [17], dithiodiketonates [18], and xanthates [16] have appeared. The analytical aspects [19] and the spectral and structural information of transition metal complexes of thiosemicarbazones [20, 21] have been reviewed previously. Recent developments in the structural nature of metal complexes of 2-heterocyclic thiosemicarbazones and S-alkyldithiocarbazates, depicted below, are correlated to their biological activities. [Pg.4]

In contrast to the large number of chiral pyridine derivatives used as ligands of metal complexes in asymmetric catalysis, only a few examples of chiral sulfur-containing pyridine ligands have so far been reported, such as pyridine thioethers derived from ( + )-camphor depicted in Scheme 1.33, which were assessed in the test reaction providing enantioselectivities of up to 76% ee. The related 2,2 -bipyridine thioethers were also prepared but showed a lower stereodilferentiating capability in the test reaction. [Pg.32]

This book clearly demonstrates that transition-metal complexes of chiral sulfur ligands are nowadays powerful catalysts in a considerable number of reactions, although, they have been generally less investigated than complexes with other donor atoms, since the interest in this chemistry is much more recent. In this book, the author has attempted to systematise the role that chiral... [Pg.369]
