STRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF CONJUGATED POLYMER

This part is mainly devoted to the study of soluble conjugated polymers in doped or neutral state in solution. Electrically conducdng polymers have b n the subject of growing interest since the middle seventies, partly because a great variety of potential applications have been proposed. Besides, from a more fundamental point of view, they exhibit new and complex phenomena wMch motivate intensive research in a large domain of scientific field. 

The substituted polydiacetylenes are another system forming an unique class of conjugated polymers. These macromolecules are obtained through a solid-state polymerization in the monomer crystal. The topochemical reaction is initiated either with
