Figures 6 through 8 show the print quality of foam printing versus conventional. Figure 9 illustrates the reduction of strike through on foamed printed goods. The fabrics illustrated were printed on production equipment. Figures 6 through 8 show the print quality of foam printing versus conventional. Case report form completion All study personnel who will be entering data into the CRF should be present for review. The CRF contains all data required by the protocol. Instructions are provided for correct entry of data into the CRF, and the sites are reminded that all areas of the CRF are to be completed accurately. No data fields should be left blank. The abbreviations UNK, N/A, or ND are to be used when information is not known and whiteout or obliteration of data is not permissible. If a correction is needed in the CRF, study personnel are to strike through the incorrect entry with a single line, record the correct entry, and initial and date the correction. In a multicenter trial with many centers, instructions or guidelines for correct data entry on each page can be included in the CRF. This allows for uniform entry of data across many centers. [Pg.318]

The adhesive for the seams on envelope backs must also be at a high solids to prevent strike through, allow fast production speeds, and provide lay-flat. Dextrins or pregelled starches may be used, but are usually heavily plasticized with the lower cost humectant-type plasticizers since blocking is not a factor on... [Pg.330]

Using Porous Substrates — here inkjet ink will penetrate into the pores of the substrate very quickly, causing low optical density at the surface and a potential "strike through" phenomenon when ink penetrates all the way to the other side of the substrate. Formation... [Pg.74]

The absorbents and filmated products have been described. The simplest sleeved pads contain cotton, viscose, or cellulose fiber with an outer sleeve of gauze or non-woven material. Those with a multilayer core have an outer sleeve of cotton, viscose, or non-woven fabric that may have been treated with a polymer such as polypropylene to reduce adherence. Delayed strike through is facilitated by using a fluid retardant layer within the upper and outer sleeve that encourages lateral movement of fluid within the pad. [Pg.1027]

The proper location of couples in the furnace depends upon the particular process and use to which the furnace is put. The primary consideration must be to locate the hot junction at the point the temperature of which is required. A secondary consideration, however, is to locate the couple where the lead wires may be conveniently taken care of. The space between the protecting tube of the couple and the furnace wall should be tightly plugged with refractory cement, so that hot air cannot strike through the hole on to the head of the couple, nor cold air be drawn in thus cooling the hot junction of the couple. [Pg.433]

When a coating asphalt and a saturating-grade asphalt are used together, as in prepared roofing, one test method (ASTM D-1370) indicates whether they are likely to bleed, show strike-through, or disbond under stress at the coating felt interface. [Pg.336]
