Status audit schedule

The standard requires the supplier to schedule audits on the basis of the status and importance of the activity. 

Previously on the subject of the comprehensiveness of audits, it was suggested that you ensure all procedures and policies are verified in all areas at least once every one to three years. The status and importance of the activities will determine whether the audit is scheduled once a month, once a year, or left for three years. 

The excipient manufacturer should carry out a comprehensive system of planned and documented internal quality audits to verify whether quality activities comply with planned arrangements and to determine the effectiveness of the quality system. Audits should be scheduled on the basis of the status and importance of the activity. The audits and follow-up actions should be carried out in accordance with documented procedures. 

Activity of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) over many years resulted in the arrangements made with ABET to accredit safety science degree programs that met ABET requirements. It is a mark of status and recognition for a university to meet those requirements and obtain accreditation. An audit team visits the school for the initial accreditation and on a 5-year schedule thereafter if continued certification is sought. Recommendations are made by the audit team, if necessary, for continuous improvement in the curriculum and the educational objectives for the program. 

The safety system should have a feedback loop that communicates to the leadership team the status of the various programs and systems. The safety system should be revised as gaps or deficiencies are identified by comprehensive audits and evaluations. The organization should keep a schedule of audits and inspections and ensure evaluations are not delayed or ignored.
