Solvents for Rubber, Plastics, and Resin Solutions

Aliphatic hydrocarbons, in some cases mixed with aromatic hydrocarbons, are suitable for rubber solutions. 

Plastics and resin solutions usually contain highly or moderately volatile solvents. The solutions are used for example to coat articles with a plastic, as adhesive solutions [14.250], as nail polish, and for textile impregnation. Esters, ketones, alcohols, or cyclic ethers are suitable depending on the intended use.
