Softening temperature system concepts

The use of acetylene groups pendant to heterocyclic polymers has demonstrated a new cure concept (IMC) which should provide tougher, more durable matrix resins with use temperatures far exceeding cure temperatures. Current and future work in this area is directed toward solving the problems associated with the extent of flow at the softening points of the resin systems.
