Sociology-based theories

Quality by Design is a systemic approach that applies the scientific method to the process. QbD theory contains components of management, statistics, psychology, and sociology. The FDA s new century has identified the QbD approach as its key component based on process quality control before industry end results [3,17]. 

Safety behavior science is an important branch of behavior science, which is the application of behavior science in the field of work safety, and is an applied science which is based on the science of physiology, psychology and sociology. It analyzes, recognizes and studies the factors and mode of influence in human safety behaviors, masters the rules of human behavior, and realizes driving safety behavior and restraining unsafe behavior. The theory of behavior science can be directly applied to the safety behavior science. It however has significant difference. 

The last questions in the guidelines (see the preface) concern the issue of demarcation - or boundary drawing of the chemical societies. The authors considered how and to what extent the individual chemical societies reacted to the ongoing and incessantly negotiated social and professional demarcation of chemistry as a disdphne and a specific social entity. For the sake of simplicity the authors deliberations were based on the sociological theory of Thomas Gieryn (again, see the preface). 

The procedure in setting up this theory is based on a formal structural similarity between statistical physics and sociology, as explained above. This similarity, however, is not at all due to any (misleading) direct similarity between units, interactions and variables of physical and sociological systems, but is a consequence of the general probabilistic laws governing the statistical dynamics of multi-component systems ...
