By the nature of its interdisciplinary nature, functional genomics is almost invariably a collaborative effort at distinct locations. A practical approach to the data management of such projects that we follow is to localize all data in one server and allow all collaborators to access it remotely, conveniently through a web browser without having to install specialized software. This also allows access by third parties, after public release of the data sets. In fact, these massive data sets cannot be published in the traditional way. One leaves the data out of journal articles and merely indicates there how to access the data directly from this system. Functional genomics is changing even the sociology of science ... 

A second important aspect of physical accuracy has a decidedly sociological tinge to it How accurately does the property of interest need to be predicted in order to make a useful scientific judgment The answer to this important question varies significantly across scientific disciplines and even subdisciplines and depends strongly on what the information from a calculation will be used for. The answer also evolves over time studies that were the state of the art 5, 10, or 20 years ago often become superceded by new approaches. This evolution of ideas due to the appearance of new methods is probably more rapid in computational modeling of materials than in experimental arenas, although it is important in both areas. 

At other times the field of tourist behaviour has a different purpose, approaching the margins of sociology and offering more interpretive qualitative and micro-scale insights into the phenomenon of tourism. The examples drawn from the material already considered in this volume include the role of the tourist, cross-cultural interaction and the expressive components of satisfaction study. 

Quality by Design is a systemic approach that applies the scientific method to the process. QbD theory contains components of management, statistics, psychology, and sociology. The FDA s new century has identified the QbD approach as its key component based on process quality control before industry end results [3,17].
