In The Psychedelic Reader, Gary Fisher described dosage levels for psychotherapeutic sessions as being quite high (generally over 250 meg.) He also touches on the use of other drugs in conjunction with LSD, particularly small amounts of amphetamine and psilocybin as initial pretreatment.

This method of making crank is based on the research of Gary Small and Arlene Minnella as published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 40, pages 3151 to 3152 (1975). The article is titled "Lithium-Ammonia Reduction of Benzyl Alcohols to Aromatic Hydrocarbons. An Improved Procedure." It results in the 100% conversion of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine or PPA in a reaction time of 10 minutes or so.

Zhao and Gary (1996), presenting a study related to the measurement of small strains with the Hopkinson bar, have considered two important sources of error. The first is the dispersion (related to the difference between phase and group velocities of the waves), which the authors correct with a numerical procedure. The second is the determination of the time delay between the signals, for which an iterative procedure is proposed. These authors also propose an identification technique to treat the data corresponding to the initial transient of the measurement, when the equilibrium in the specimen is not yet attained.
