Flexible sigmoidoscopy can be performed to identify obstruction in the rectum and lower colon, whereas colonoscopy can evaluate the entire colon for organic disease.

The entire large bowel should be evaluated by colonoscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy with double-contrast barium enema.

Evidence-based comparisons with existing approved screening tests (FOBT, flexible sigmoidoscopy, double contrast barium enema, colonoscopy) will show that none is perfect and that CTC has a sufficient number of benefits and unique attractions to make it a legitimate addition.

Isotretinoin was withdrawn and he had a complete resolution.
