Shrink bands

Assure that the bottom point (between the extension and the conical black piece) of the cassette is sealed tightly with a shrink band of electrical tape. Point the open end of the cassette down to minimize contamination. 

If the tamper-evident feature chosen to meet the requirements in paragraph (b) of this section uses an identifying characteristic, that characteristic is required to be referred to in the labeling statement. For example, the labeling statement on a bottle with a shrink band could say "For your protection, this bottle has an imprinted seal around the neck. ... 

The outsert. This is an American idea in which the leaflet is folded down to the height of the container and is held against the side of the container by either a stretch or shrink band or has its flying leaf sealed together and stuck with a heat-fix adhesive or is cellotaped to the container. None of these fixings is allowed to obscure the prime label. 

It should be noted that this follows the list approved by FDA regulations on 5 November 1982. However, since that time the USA has withdrawn the use of glued cartons, cellulose shrink bands and heat sealed (folded) overwraps based on the fact that some can be opened and resealed.

Phosphorus and arsenic have nearly identical electronegativities, so in GaP Asi. , the dominant effect is the smaller atomic radius of P relative to As. Substituting P atoms for As atoms shrinks the dimensions of the semiconductor lattice. This leads to greater overlap of the valence orbitals, increased stability of the bonding orbitals (valence band), and an increased band gap. 

The crystal violet ion has a main absorption band at about 5900 A, and another so close to it as to appear to be a shoulder on the main band. As the temperature is raised the main band shrinks while the shoulder becomes more prominent. This is interpreted as due to the increased conversion of the low energy form, responsible for the main absorption band, into the high energy form, responsible for the shoulder. The electronic structure of GaN nanotubes was calculated as well (71) and was essentially in accordance with the band structure calculations of the other inorganic nanotubes. The band gap of nanotubes with a diameter >2 nm is >4 eV and shrinks with the nanotube diameter. Zigzag nanotubes are found to have a direct transition, which suggests that they could serve as an ultrasmall blue light-emitting source. The structure and stability of CaSi2 nanotubes have been investigated but a few details are currently available (88b,c). 

Keep the bunches of herbs small a good guideline is to gather up no more than enough stalks to fit comfortably in your hand. Hang the herbs upside down this helps preserve their appearance if you are planning to use them for decorative purposes. Use rubber bands to tie the bunches, as these will shrink with the herbs. Be aware that the rubber bands will eventually deteriorate and need to be replaced. Tie a large paper bag or sheet of newspaper loosely over the flowerheads if you want to collect the seeds.
