Short-term drifts

M. Ehmann, P. Ruther, M. von Arx, and O. Paul. Operation and short term drift of polysUicon-heated CMOS micro structures at temperatrues up to 1200 K , Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering 11 (2001), 397-401. [Pg.119]

In the short term, minimal noise and short-term drift are the goals. Noise has a detrimental effect on the LOD and on the precision of the response. Short-term drift, often associated with short-term changes in ambient parameters such as temperature, pressure, and relative humidity, can exceed oscillator noise, in which case drift dictates the LOD. While it is possible to partially compensate for noise by averaging several consecutive data points, this is mote difficult for short-term drift. [Pg.245]

Some of the effects of both long- and short-term drift (not noise) can be cor-... [Pg.245]

Drift in the analyte line sensitivity due to changes in the x-ray source output can be categorized as either short-term or long-term drift. It should be appreciated that these are rather vague terms. What short-term drift is to one analyst may be... [Pg.69]

With the lack of standardization in the definition of drift, it becomes expedient to adopt an operational definition of the difference between short- and long-term drift. Short-term drift is the component of drift that is significant during the time... [Pg.70]

Thus, the total expected short-term drift is... [Pg.72]

The indicated short-term error limits in Fig. 3.20 correspond to 3ot or 0.3%. It will be seen from study of the data that over almost any 30-min period, the data lie within the predicted short-term drift limits. Over a period of hours, however, an... [Pg.72]

If tg is positive and larger than then slow drift is significantly indicated. On the other hand, if t is negative, oscillations (short-term drift) have occurred. Since X is a good estimate of s, the variables and tx are defined... [Pg.235]

A monotonous change in the sensor response over time in spite of the absence of changes in the ambient atmosphere is called drift. One can distinguish between short-term drift, which is typically observed after switching on, and long-term drift, which is observed due to the instability of the sensor. [Pg.692]
