Self-adjustment

The multiorifice spinnerets require a high degree of precision in design and manufacture. The main problems encountered are the deHvery of identical quantities of dope to each orifice and the instantaneous self-adjustment of the spinneret s internal pressure if an orifice plugs during spinning. 

Take-Up and Hold-Back. An elevator chain wears and elongates, and a belt stretches during service life. A chain also elongates when handling hot materials. Therefore, a take-up adjustment is needed to maintain tension between the head and foot shafts. A manually adjusted screw take-up that moves the tail shaft or head shaft or a self-adjusting weighted take-up that maintains a constant gravity force on the tail shaft may be used. 

Full-floating metallic packing is self-adjusting.

Ferrocen-l,l -diylbismetallacycles are conceptually attractive for the development of bimetal-catalyzed processes for one particular reason the distance between the reactive centers in a coordinated electrophile and a coordinated nucleophile is self-adjustable for specific tasks, because the activation energy for Cp ligand rotation is very low. In 2008, Peters and Jautze reported the application of the bis-palladacycle complex 56a to the enantioselective conjugate addition of a-cyanoacetates to enones (Fig. 31) [74—76] based on the idea that a soft bimetallic complex capable of simultaneously activating both Michael donor and acceptor would not only lead to superior catalytic activity, but also to an enhanced level of stereocontrol due to a highly organized transition state [77]. An a-cyanoacetate should be activated by enolization promoted by coordination of the nitrile moiety to one Pd(II)-center, while the enone should be activated as an electrophile by coordination of the olefinic double bond to the carbophilic Lewis acid [78],... 

Carbon taxes are dynamic economic instruments that offer a continuum incentive to reduce emissions. In fact, technological and procedural improvements and their subsequent efficient diffusion lead to reductions in tax payment. In addition, trading systems are able to self-adjust because emission goals will be easier to meet there will be a decrease in permits demand and in their price but not as rapidly as taxes.

The plates may be any of several types, including sieve, bubble-cap, and valve trays. Valve trays constitute multiple self-adjusting orifices that provide nearly constant gas pressure drop over considerable ranges of variation in gas flow. The gas pressure drop that can be taken across a single plate is necessarily limited, so that units designed for high contacting power must use multiple plates. 

The transformation from spheres to cyhnders is a peculiar example for the self-adjustment of the molecular conformation. The switching shape can be regarded as an example for the principle of quasi equivalency established by A. Klug for the self-assembly of biomolecules and viruses [145] for the sake of an improved intermolecular packing, the molecules adopt a conformation different from the minimum energy one. This also demonstrates that shape control does not mean a fully constrained structure. Similar to biomolecules, the combination of flexible macromolecules and self-assembly principles is a powerful strategy for preparation of molecules with well-defined but switchable shape [23]. 

Once all of the conditions were determined and parameters chosen, the equations were solved by an implicit Euler method. The program was written with a self adjusting step size and analytic Jacobian to reduce error and run time. 

To evaluate the self-adjusting properties, collect all tablets discharged by the machine and evaluate them for their weight.
