Field-copy certification—a certification, as stated in 21CFR 314.94, that a true third field copy of the technical sections (chemistry, manufacturing, and controls) of the application has been submitted to the appropriate FDA district office. The district office should also receive a certification with the submission that it is a true copy of the information submitted to the reviewing division. [Pg.5]

There are many producers of AN in North America making both AN solution and explosive grade AN prills. The AN solution is used in the manufacture of packaged and bulk emulsion and water gel explosives, and explosive-grade AN prills are used to make ANFO. ANFO, the acronym for a mixture of AN and FO is the single most commonly used chemical explosive. (ANFO is an example of a composite explosive as described in an earlier section, Chemistry of Combustion and Explosions .) These low density AN prills are made by a specialized process, in which internal voids are created making the prills porous and able to absorb the required 5.5-6 percent FO. [Pg.1759]

Intemationsd Catalogue of Scientific Literature, by Royal Society of London. This publication, a continuation of Catalog of Scientific Papers, is divided into 17 sections, chemistry being D. The first volume for chemistry lists 116 periodicals, which increased to 417 in the fourteenth volume. The total of journals for 1903-04 contains 5546 entries. [Pg.98]

These ligands, with the recently established HjO, have a very close relation with solvent water. Therefore throughout this section chemistry in solution and in the solid state will be juxtaposed and related in a way not possible for other ligands. Indeed the pH dependence of species present in solution has an important bearing on solid complexes, in that the latter are often prepared from solution. The parent complexes, aquo ions [M(OH2)i]" , are important both in salt hydrates and in solution, and have even been studied to a limited extent in the gas phase. Other complexes containing water, hydroxide and oxide in various proportions are all related to these aquo cations by simple and rapidly established proton transfer equilibria. Eventually deprotonation leads to 0x0 anions. Some of these, such as chromate or permanganate, can be considered as complexes others, such as PbOj" and GeOj, are on the borderline with mixed metal oxides. Most such species have... [Pg.941]
