Additional information on essential oil variation in C. monspeliensis comes from a study by Angelopoulou et al. (2002) who were interested in diurnal and seasonal patterns. Significant differences were noted during both time periods. It would be of interest to learn what effects cultivation in a common garden enviromnent would have on oil expression in these species. 

Figure 2 shows Cl- concentrations as a function of depth in a core collected 10 km from Camp Century in northwest Greenland. (The three very high peaks may represent some early 19th century volcanic input which in this case did not disturb the seasonal pattern of Cl" concentrations.) The clear winter peaks and summer minima demonstrate the utility of sea salts for dating purposes.

It is not easy to obtain measures on hundreds of patients. This is particularly an issue when investigating more specific subgroups, such as those we discussed for the mood disorders. Conceivably, the taxonicity of 296.40 with seasonal pattern can be tested separately from 296.40 with rapid cycling, but of course, these analyses would require access to extremely large samples. 

In this study, data from Birmingham, Alabama Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Detroit, Michigan were selected to assess seasonal patterns and assess seasonal relationships between atmospheric soil and atmospheric lead. 

Atmospheric soil and atmospheric lead follow seasonal patterns with highest concentrations during the summer and/or autumn.

This review begins with a summary of the sources of monitoring data operated primarily by public agencies. The spatial and temporal patterns of oxidant concentrations are then discussed—urban versus rural and indoor versus outdoor relationships, diurnal and seasonal patterns, and long-term trends. The chapter includes brief discussions of photochemical oxidants other than ozone and of data quality and concludes with a set of recommendations for guidelines in future monitoring of atmospheric concentrations of ozone and other photochemical oxidants.
