SCORE evaluation criteria

Once the list is culled, a decision must be made on how to score each criterion. This can be as simple as a qualitative judgment of effectiveness (+), ineffectiveness (—), or indifference ( ), or a simple subjective score (say, 1 to 10). Some criteria lend themselves to a more quantitative evaluation of a relevant statistic, such as expected profit, volume, sales, and so on. Once the choices are made, each altemative solution can then be rated according to the list of criteria. 

A single test will be used to determine acceptance or rejection of a test material. Once an activity criterion (such as an X score in a righting reflex test) is established, compounds are evaluated based on being less than X (i.e., negative) or equal to or greater than X (i.e., positive). Yih and Jones (1992) proposed using multilayer perceptrons in selecting some candidate rules for further evaluation of their performance. In their proposed approach, a multilayer perceptron wiU take the attributes describing the system configuration and the performance measures and wfll output a proper matching score for each dispatching rule. They also used this approach for multiple-criterion objectives. 

Through this scoring the degree of compliance of the subjects recall with the actual organization of the text, is evaluated. In other words, this index shows whether the plan followed by the writer when organizing his/her ideas to be expressed in the text is followed by the reader when trying to order the ideas expressed in his/her answers. On the basis of this criterion, three levels are established ... 

A quantitative evaluation of the depressive state was made by means of the self-rating scale of Aitken (30), with the criterion of improvement being a decrease in the rating score of at least 60%. The MHPG values given for each subject under each experimental circumstance are means of values measured on four consecutive days. 

Validity refers to whether the smvey instrument measures what it claims to measure. There are three basic types of validity for a measurement scale, each with particular experimental and statistical methodologies for evaluation. These are content validity (do relevant experts agree that the survey appears to measure what it is supposed to measme ), criterion validity (can scores from the survey be used to predict individual behavior or performance ), and construct validity (are the relationships found with the survey consistent with relevant theory and research ). 

For this reason, we adopt a criterion of self-consistency as an alternative to the two real criteria for CE reliability. We look for self-consistency in two ways, mimicking the two above-mentioned criteria. First, we compare the DFT database energies to the predicted energies of the entire set of enumerated configurations and evaluate whether the predictions and the known energies are consistent. If new structures are predicted to be more stable than the structures already included in the database, then these structures should be added to the database and iterations continued. Second, as the DFT database increases in size and completeness, we compare subsequent CE fits (with optimal CV score) to ensure that they are using the same clusters with approximately the same interaction coefficients (ECIs). When this is not the case, it suggests that continued iterations are necessary.
