Sampling and Testing of Slaked Lime

Samples of slaked lime products may be required for process control, for the assessment of their suitability for a particular application, or for monitoring compliance with a specification. Testing may be done to assess the product s physical or chemical properties. 

Because slaked lime products are finely divided, obtaining a representative sample is much less difficult than with granular and lump products. Nevertheless, it is important that the specified sampling and sample preparation procedures are followed.
