Rotary screen roller

Nylon is atmospherically dyed using established trade procedures for staple (stock dyed), yam (yam dyed), fabric (piece dyed) for batch dyeing systems (becks, jets, kettles), for continuous dyeing systems [pad - dye, steam (fixation), rinse], and for printing systems (flatbed, rotary screen, roller and transfer) (141-143). Because of their physical and chemical structure, nylon-6 and nylon-6,6, imlike the principal synthetic and natural fibers, have an affinity for every dye class as summarized in Table 2 (144). 

In a rotary screen system plastisols for compact and textured products are applied to suitable substrates continuously from seamless, cylindrical nickel screens. The plastisols are fed into the screens and pressed through perforations to the substrate by a squeegee of flexible steel or rubber the substrate is supported by a counter-pressure roller, usually of chromium-plated steel. The principle is illustrated in Figure 111. 

Foam printing compositions have been devised which can he applied on conventional roller print or rotary screen print machines (12). These systems are not yet commercial. 

Is a highly efficient titanium dioxide pigment white with binders present. This white is useful in roller printing and rotary screens to provide economical prints.

Rotary screen printing - A combination of roller and screen printing in which a perforated cylindrical screen is used to apply color. Color is forced from the interior of the screen onto the cloth. 

Gypsum When gypsum is calcined in rotary kilns, it is first crushed and screened After calcining it is pulverized. Tube mills are usually used. These impart plasticity and workability. Occasionally such calcined gypsum is passed through ring-roller mills ahead of the tube mills. 

This is a clever modification of flat silk screen printing. The paste adhesive is fed in the center of a rotary perforated drum, it is pumped through a hollow doctor blade into the rotating screen stencil and then through the holes in the drum and applied onto a web or fabric (Fig. 64). The web or fabric is running over a counter roller coated with rubber.
