Dr. Sehanobish has authored a series of publications and holds more than 25 patents in the areas of polyethylene pipes, blown and cast films, speciality fibers and films, and TPOs. His research is the basis for the INSITETM technology platform and new resin families such as ENGAGE , AERNITY , NORDEL ip and ELHE . The INSITE technology received the R D 100 Award in 1994 from R D Magazine, and the ELITE enhanced polyethylenes received the R D 100 Award in 1999. These efforts also resulted in currently more than one billion pounds per year of sales of metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene resins by The Dow Chemical Company. 

ELITE enhanced polyethylene resins can eliminate that trade-off by maintaining excellent processability while doubling the impact strength of current state-of-the-art HDPEs. 

With ELITE enhanced polyethylene resins, you can overcome this problem, realise faster packaging line speeds and fewer leakers on vertical form-fill-seal equipment, and achieve better handling characteristics. The lower seal initiation temperature also creates a broader sealing window, while providing extra flexibility in various bag-making processes. 

ELITE enhanced polyethylene resins also have excellent compatibility with other polyolefins, allowing efficient blending and coextrusion for cost and performance flexibility. 

The present PE and polypropylene prices still do not allow for acceptable margins under the current market conditions. Based on this situation, Dow Plastics announced a price increase in Europe of 100 per metric tonne above January 2003 pricing levels for all polypropylene resins. Inspire performance polymers, LDPE resins and HDPE resins, Dowlex LLDPE resins, Attane ULDPE copolymers. Elite enhanced PE resins, and Aspun fibre grade resins.
