Repair control centres

This is a system whereby the repair control centre and key personnel report property damage situations. The system should be simple, designed to operate with a minimum amount of written reporting, and flexible since repair cost accounting methods may vary from workplace to workplace. [Pg.144]

The ECR is normally located away from the reactor buildings, but is in communication with all the station emergency control centres and emergency teams by direct telephone or radio. Specialist advice is available on reactor and plant conditions, plant damage repair procedures, chemistry and health physics control. [Pg.42]

A cost reduction (up to a factor of 1.5 against the first-of-kind plant) may be achieved in the case of a serial production of the ELENA-NTEP plants. The reactor operates at nominal power in an unattended mode that does not require the involvement of operating personnel in the process control. The start-up, shutdown, routine inspection and if required, repair, are performed by personnel from the control centre on a shift basis. The site security may require auxiliary personnel residing in the plant deployment area. [Pg.189]

Nuclear instrumentation can be found in many different Institutions there are nuclear research centres, universities, and hospitals with their nuclear medicine diagnostic or therapy units. In industry, radiation and associated nuclear instruments are applied in products and in process control. As a rule, nuclear instruments are rather sophisticated and delicate instruments. If they develop faults, as any instruments sooner or later do, they are not easy to repair. Considerable specialized knowledge, extensive experience, and suitable equipment is needed for their repair and servicing. [Pg.9]
